Custom Three Bedroom Post and Beam Home – Barn Style

First Floor:

This plan in the works, is being designed for a family with a pair of young twins.  The family requested that the bedrooms be on one level (the upstairs).  Other special requests from the client were for large closets, particularly on the first floor.  Since the family lives in northern New England, they requested closet space big enough to house all their ski garments, in addition to their sons’ sporting equipment.  Hence the large closets on the first floor at the entry, and in the mudroom.

Second Floor:

The second floor has a generously sized master-suite complete with large walk-in closet.  The clients requested that the closet contain at least one window to bring in natural light.  And, the clients also requested an extra bonus feature for their children’s rooms.  In each of the twins’ rooms, there is a loft space.  The two loft spaces are open to one another, so that one twin can climb up and over to gain access to the other bedroom.  The clients anticipate the twins using this space as a fun play space while they are young, and for extra storage as they grow older.
